Emily Weingarten

Emily Weingarten is a musician, writer, and entrepreneur residing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is the Chapter Development Specialist for Arts Enterprise, an organization dedicated to supporting emerging leaders who blend entrepreneurial thought and artistic creativity to inspire social growth and sustainable ventures.  She previously worked as Manager of Artistic and Career Services at The Colburn School Conservatory of Music, where she engaged and managed visiting guest artists, including Menahem Pressler, Michael Stern, Leon Fleisher, and eighth blackbird.  In that position, Emily also assisted in the planning and implementation of a careers class, encouraged students to be proactive in developing sustainable career goals, and helped students develop effective resumes, bios, and cover letters.

Emily also works at Glass House Cafe, a socially conscious urban coffeehouse, researches healthy living, and enjoys cooking vegan dinners for friends. You can follow Emily’s research on sustainable living and healthy eating by reading her blog, creATE.  Emily earned Bachelors of Music degrees from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance in 2008 in Bassoon Performance and Musicology, graduating with the 2008 Earl V. Moore Award for her achievements during her college career.
